US man convicted in NYC of stalking Tyra Banks
A Georgia man who told police he and Tyra Banks "had a thing together" was convicted Thursday of stalking the supermodel-turned-TV host.
Brady Green, 39, of Georgia, was convicted by Manhattan Criminal Court Judge James Burke, who heard the case without a jury, of stalking, harassment, criminal trespass and attempted aggravated harassment.
Burke handed down his verdict the day after Banks testified that she feared for her safety. The judge said he found that Green had been "hounding" Banks.

However, Burke said he would not send Green to jail. He told defense lawyer Jeffrey Berman to help his client get psychiatric counseling and a job in "a location where he can thrive."
That "likely will not be the city of New York," the judge said.
Berman said he was disappointed with the verdict and planned an appeal but was glad the judge did not send Green to jail. Green had faced up to 90 days in jail at sentencing on June 18.
Banks testified Wednesday that she feared for her safety, and for that of her staff and family.
Authorities said Green, 39, repeatedly called Banks' studio, showed up there, and sent her flowers and letters. They said he also threatened to slit the throat of a staffer who refused to tell him where to find Banks' TV studio.
Green was arrested March 18, 2008, at a McDonald's restaurant near Banks' studio in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan. He told officers he and Banks "had a thing together," police said.
Banks said she was about to leave the studio that day when her staff warned her about Green. She said they had previously shown her Green's photograph, told her he had threatened one of her employees and was "somebody I should watch out for."
The former Sports Illustrated cover girl said she told officers at the scene that she was scared.
"I didn't know what to do. How do I live my life when I leave this building? I had never experienced anything like this before," she said.
Calm and smiling frequently as she testified, Banks said security "has changed significantly" around her and her workplaces because of Green.
She said that her company has hired more security staff and that her studio audiences are vetted more thoroughly.
Banks said she is now followed everywhere by security guards, even when she runs and exercises outdoors. Even though she is a public person, "I don't live that kind of sheltered, protected life," she said. "I like to walk around."
Green testified that Banks' shows on racism and homelessness had moved him and he wanted to contact her. He said his attempts to get tickets for her show had been misunderstood.
He also said he never threatened Banks, never intended to scare her and never tried to date her.
Assistant District Attorney Sean McMahon got Green to acknowledge that he rode a bus for four days from Los Angeles to New York, where he had no friends, relatives and no job, and that the first he thing he did was go to the building that houses Banks' studio.
Banks is executive producer and host of two popular TV shows, "America's Next Top Model" and "The Tyra Banks Show."

Tyra Officially Backs Barack Obama
With election day just three days away, Tyra Banks is throwing her support behind Democratic Sen. Barack Obama.
"Throughout this historic presidential campaign, I have been inspired by Senator Barack Obama and his message of change," the talk-show host said in a statement. "I believe he will uplift all Americans during these critical times. I will be voting for Obama because I feel America is not only ready for this change, we are in need of it."
In September, Tyra was featured in Harper's Bazaar posing as Michelle Obama with a Barack look-a-like in the Oval Office.

This news is all over the internet now... It looks like the models in the upcoming cycle of America's Next Top Model will be going to Amsterdam!

Tyra Banks coming to Amsterdam
Tyra Banks is coming to Amsterdam this summer with the last five candidates of America's Next Top Model.
The models of America’s Next Top Model will have several go-sees and photo shoots in Amsterdam.
Because the prerecordings in Amsterdam of ANTM are for season eleven of the program, we will have to wait for some time before the show is broadcasted in the Netherlands. Right now the 8th season of ANTM has just been broadcasted.

Monday, 12 May: Predators Revealed
What drives sexual predators, and how do we keep them away from our children? In an unprecedented interview, Tyra goes inside the mind of a pedophile as she interviews a repeat sex offender who explains what drove him to molest girls as young as 13 and how he would "groom" their families in order to get close -- and the drastic measures he took to stop his urges. Mothers in the audience then ask him questions to find out how they can keep their children safe from predators. Then meet a woman who runs a trailer park where sexual predators live after being released from prison - and their road to rehabilitation. Plus, a young man shares his story of being arrested and labeled a pedophile, after he had consensual oral sex with a 15-year-old girl at age 17.
Tuesday, 13 May: Sexless Marriages
What happens to a marriage when the sex stops? It's said that the passion in a relationship may dwindle after a walk down the aisle, but sexless marriages have become a growing phenomenon. Tyra meets four couples who bravely reveal the reasons for their lapse in intimacy. Some of the women discuss body image and admit that the negative way they feel about their looks is sexually inhibiting. Then, one woman says she's simply too exhausted to have sex. She's so busy she hasn't even kissed her husband in over a year! Later, their husbands come on stage to express their frustration, but still say how much they love their wives. Friday, 16 May: My Spouse is Hotter than Me [sic]
Is your spouse hotter than you? Tyra finds out what happens when one member of a couple feels their partner is more -- or less -- attractive than the other! First she speaks with three couples in crisis... in which the women believe their man is more attractive. Then the couples participate in a social experiment where they reveal their true feelings, causing one woman to break down in tears. Then, Tyra sends the women backstage for the ultimate Tyra Show makeover. Later, Tyra speaks with two other women who are insecure in their marriages because they think their husbands are better looking. Tyra's audience is asked to rate each of their appearances on a scale from 1 to 10 -- with surprising results!

I'm not convinced that Tyra's having done 500 episodes is a good thing, but let's celebrate it anyway!
Monday, 28 April: Women's First Night as Prostitutes
Are you curious about high-end prostitutes? Watch as our cameras follow girls on their first night of work at Moonlight Bunny Ranch, the legal house of prostitution in Nevada, featured on the HBO hit series, "Cat House." Veteran bunny Brooke Taylor coaches the girls as they line up to be considered for their first "party" with male clients. Tyra spends the hour discussing a race issue still dividing the black community -- the varying shades of skin. Tensions are high when a panel of people with different skin tones takes the stage. Meet a light-skinned woman who believes her skin color makes her more attractive, a man who thinks light-skinned women are snobby, and a mother who said she does not want her young son to ever date a dark-skinned girl. The audience is filled with African-American women who are divided into groups according to how they see themselves. Then, Whitney, Eugena, Felicia and Noelle from "America's Next Top Model" are on hand to discuss how their skin color affected their jobs in the fashion industry.

Overweight women embrace their curves! Meet gals who have turned their voluptuous bodies into moneymakers! First, Tyra welcomes Gem and Eddie back to the show, after they shared their "squashing" video. See what they're into now! Tyra then introduces 600-lb. Queen Raqui, Gem's "squashing" idol. Queen Raqui discusses how she's made money "squashing," "trampling" and "wrestling." Then, a plus-size lingerie model and her thin counterpart debate which is exploiting themselves the most.
